Macclesfield Town have been handed another date in Essex in the second round of the FA Cup.

The Silkmen’s reward for victory at East Thurrock United will be a match at Chelmsford City, 25 miles up the road from the Rocks’ Rookery Hill home.

Glenn Pennyfather’s Clarets advanced with a 4-0 drubbing of Telford United at Melbourne Stadium last weekend.

Chelmsford are currently fifth in the Blue Square Bet Premier South division

The game is currently scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 3.

MACC manager Gary Simpson and assistant Glyn Chamberlain have been fined £500 by the FA after they admitted charges of improper conduct. The charges relate to the Silkmen’s League Two game at Burton Albion on November 5.

DEFENDER Michael Thomas has returned to the Moss Rose after his three-man loan spell at Leek Town ended. The 19-year-old make 20 appearances for the Blues.
