MACC midfielder Lee Bell has extended his Moss Rose stay, committing to a new 12-month deal.

After joining from newly-relegated Mansfield Town last summer, Bell has impressed in his debut season and, despite having offers from other clubs, has signed a new contract that keeps him at Macclesfield until June 2010.

Twenty-six-year-old Bell, a former Crewe trainee, is one of this season’s most-employed players and his delivery at set-pieces has proved to be one of the team’s most potent assets.

Bell told www.mtfc.co.uk "I've really enjoyed my time at the Moss Rose. It’s a well-run club and that’s an important part of my decision.

"The temptation is often to go out and chase the money. Stability is increasingly something you look for and Macc seem to have their head screwed on when it comes to their finances."

"I’m delighted to have Lee here for another season," said Keith Alexander.
