Steve King was kept busy on the final day of the summer transfer window, with three new faces joining the club, two going out on loan and Scott Brown being released.

The Macc manager recruited three free agents – Pablo Mills, Amari Morgan-Smith and Anthony McNamee – on one-year deals.

Making his name primarily with Rotherham, defender-midfielder Mills was released by Crawley Town, where he had been captain until a brawl in a game against Bradford last March saw him lose the armband.

The former Derby trainee, who has England Under-16, 17 and 19 caps, was released by the Red Devils in May.

Released by MK Dons in the summer, left-sided midfielder McNamee has spent his career to date in the top three divisions, with most of his appearances made for Watford, Swindon and Norwich.

After youth spells at Wolverhampton and Crewe, England C international striker Morgan-Smith made just one appearance for Stockport County but switched to Ilkeston before a two-year stay at Luton Town.

Leaving the Moss Rose were Junior Yiadom-Konadu and Harry Agombar, both joining Histon on loan.

In a permanent exit from the Silkmen, Scott Brown has been released after one substitute outing, at Hereford.
