And with the Blues side taking shape there’s the small matter of the opposition.

And this week the club has revealed some of the top names taking them on – all of whom graced the remier League while many played on the world stage.

Former Everton and Newcastle star Steve Watson has been instrumental in compiling a side that includes ex-City and United players.

While it promises to be an unforgettable night, associate director Andy Scott appealed to fans to turn out in their numbers, adding:?“We have Champions League winners, England, Scotland and Ireland internationals coming down.

“Tickets are selling fast but there are many still available.

“When we had the last game like this at the Moss we had more than four thousand there, on a Thursday night in the pouring rain. So hopefully we can look forward to a similar attendance, which would make a huge impact on the club’s finances.
