IAN BRIGHTWELL paid tribute to the support of the Macc fans at Christie Park on Saturday.
Despite being heavily outnumbered, the small but noisy supporters who travelled to the Lancashire coast played a significant role in spurring the Silkmen onto victory, a fact not lost on Brightwell, his players and the board members.
"The fans were excellent again on Saturday," he said.
"There was a lot of them and I’d like to thank them for their support.
"They really have been behind us and supported us well, not just this week but throughout the season and, if they can keep that up, then it’s worth points to us."
