Premier Division champions Pack Horse pulled off a shock in the Cheshire FA Sunday Cup after they deservedly beat bookies favourites The Dock from Birkenhead at Bollington Rec.

After falling behind to an early penalty the Pack rallied and two goals from Nick Stone gave them a narrow advantage at the break.

A penalty from Matt Woolley extended their lead but with ten minutes to go a thunderous free kick saw The Dock pull the score back to 3-2.

But Lee Malkin calmed any nerves when he slotted home to send Pack Horse through to the quarter-finals.

Poynton Village beat Disley seconds 5-2 in the Macclesfield and District FA Sunday Cup.

Andy Buckley scored twice with Greg Willis, Bobby Cash and a Dan Moult penalty completing Village’s scoring.

Rick Hughes and Paul Warburton scored for Disley.

Goals from Chris Coppenhall, Ash Hunt, Jamie Windsor and a Gaz Hunt double gave Macc Boys Seniors a 5-2 win against AC Bollan. Chris Megarrell and Fran Oliver made the score respectable for the visitors. Man-of-the-match went to Boys’ Sean Scoltock.

Dave Billington fired a hat-trick in Ox-fford’s 5-2 Premier Division victory over high-flying Vale at Mary Dendy Fields. Lee Johnson scored an audacious lob from halfway and Tom Williamson added the fifth with an excellent volley.

Jez Shepherd and Matt Ainsworth replied for Vale.

It’s tight at the top of the table with no less than four teams on 13 points, including Boarhound and Queens after an excellent game at Windmill Street.

Boarhound got off to the perfect start with Dave Short netting a hat-trick before the interval and Dec Fletcher adding another for the hosts to make it 4-1, Devon Gibson having replied for Queens.

The game finished in frantic fashion with four goals in five minutes. Stu Ainsworth gave the visitors a glimmer of hope as he smashed home to make it 4-2 but Chris Wilson and Jamie Madden put the contest beyond doubt.

Ryan Foster’s penalty for Queens made it 6-3.

Prestbury are really struggling at the moment, and they were thumped 8-1 at home to Spinners. Luke Wild helped himself to a hat-trick, Andy Foote scored twice, with Dan Hunter, Jamie Collins and Stephen Steele completing the rout.

Craig Scott scored Prestbury’s consolation.

In the First Division, bottom club Lord Byron lost out 3-2 to Bruce B. Joe Knight and Martin Crosdale put them 2-1 up at half-time with Knight scoring a spectacular free kick but they couldn’t build on their advantage in the second half and eventually went down 2-3. Alex Harrison, Tom Buckley and Max Cowling-Jones all on target for the visitors.

Broken Cross enjoyed a 5-0 win against Fermain to remain top of the table.

Jono Campbell scored a hat-trick with Martin Firth and James Austin also on target.

Sporting Weston were on the right end of a 13-1 victory at home to Railway View. Adam Newton, was not on the scoresheet was awarded man-of-the-match but he was run a close second by Jermaine Leveridge, who scored five times and Josh Mottershead who scored twice on his Sunday League debut.

There was also Danny Hayes and Chris Newton who also scored twice and Liam Fisher and Mike Harrison. Josh Njai netted for Sporting.

A bruising encounter at Congleton Road saw Fox and Grapes throw away a 3-1 first-half advantage to lose 5-3. Josh Lea, Ryan Skerratt and Ben Heathcote put the visitors 3-1 up but, inspired by a man-of-the-match performance by Stuart Harrison, Nags fought back and second-half goals from Anthony Byrne, Gaz Gibbons and two from Lee Anderson secured three vital points.

A memorable goal from full back Oli Gray set the Bruce up for a comfortable 3-0 victory against Tythy.

Scott Meszaros followed up Gray’s screamer with a goal in each half to secure the points.
