Macclesfield Town’s Carling Cup opponents have been revealed. And the first round will once again pit the Silkmen against Leicester City.

Macc have faced the Foxes in first-round cup ties twice in the last four seasons, going down 2-0 on both occasions.

In August 2006, a trip to the Walkers Stadium resulted in a defeat for Brian Horton’s Macc, courtesy of goals by Chris O’Grady, now at promoted Rochdale, and Paddy McCarthy.

Last season Macc welcomed the Championship side to the Moss Rose and Dany N’Guessan and Matty Fryatt netted to send Leicester through.

The game is due to be played at Leicester the week commencing August 9.
