ALTHOUGH a place in League Twoés end-of-season play-offs has not yet mathematically been confirmed, club Chief Executive Colin Garlick is urging Macclesfield Town fans to turn out in their numbers when tickets are due to go on sale from next Monday.

Despite slipping to a 3-0 defeat at Cheltenham last weekend, the Silkmen still only need a point from this Saturday's home game against struggling Rushden and Diamonds to guarantee a place in the play-offs - overall a superb achievement.

Garlick said: éI know weére not certain of a play-off spot yet, but it does seem more than likely that weéll be in there as we only need a point and some of our rivals face tough games elsewhere.

éTherefore this is a rallying cry to urge the people of this town to back Brian Horton and his players as we aim to reach League One.

éAt least our immediate destiny is in our own hands, but Brian and the boys will be going for a win of course on Saturday.é

The first legs of the play-off semi-finals are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, May 14 and 15, with 5.15pm kick-offs.

The second legs will then follow on either Friday, May 20, at 7.45pm, or Saturday, May 21 at either 12.05pm or 6.15pm.

Should Macc make it this coming weekend therefore, semi-final first leg tickets will go on sale to season ticket holders and vice-presidentés only next Monday and Tuesday, between 9.30am and 7.30pm.

Unsold tickets will then go on open sale, again from the club office, next Wednesday and Thursday during the same hours, but only until 5pm next Friday.

Second leg ticket sales will follow the same pattern the week after, with the exception that if the semi-final second leg is on Friday, May 20, sales will cease at 7.30pm on the day before, Thursday, May 19.

The play-off matches are: 7th v 4th, 6th v 5th.

The higher-placed club will be given home advantage in the second leg.

Macc Town are currently in sixth place in the League Two table.

It is highly likely that both legs of the play-offs will be all-ticket games.
