The top two met at Windmill Street as Railway View took on Pack Horse in a game that could decide the destination of the Macclesfield and District SFL championship.

The result, a 3-3 draw, suits Pack Horse as they’re three points behind with two games in hand but the fight is by no means over.

It was the visitors who opened up a two-goal lead midway through the first half courtesy of Jordan Hitchen’s free kicks. The first squirmed agonisingly through the grasp of keeper Gaz Hughes, the second found stand-in striker Nick Stone whose header was well saved by Hughes but Alex Baird stabbed home from a yard out.

Railway came storming back and by half time they were level, Ryan Stewart scoring twice from the penalty spot.

Railway substitute Fran Oliver did his utmost to disrupt the Pack defence but it was Pack Horse who regained the lead on 62 minutes, Hitchen yet again scoring a free kick.

There was still more drama to come as with 11 minutes left Hughes’ long punt upfield fell to Mike Harrison, who lobbed keeper Dom Chell from 30 yards to level the scores. The finale was frantic but saw no further goals.

At Mary Dendy Fields, Broken Cross turned around their poor form to defeat Vale 3-0. Steven Webb headed the hosts into a first-half lead but it was substitute Zak Hall who made the real difference, scoring with his first touch to make it 2-0. Cross had chances to increase the score but it was left to another substitute, Jonathan Flower to take the plaudits as 10 minutes after coming on, he tapped home from close range at the far post to secure the points.

Boarhound hit Prestbury for six at Bollington Rec thanks to two goals apiece from Craig Hayes and Ben Hamand and further goals from Matt Delargy and Josh Sneddon.

Hayes and Hamand had put Boarhound 2-0 up but Prestbury pulled one back through Craig Trodden’s free kick. The second half belonged to Boarhound as they scored four without reply.

Fermain let a 1-0 half time lead slip as they succumbed 5-2 to Queens Arms. The introduction of Queens’ Ryan Foster made the difference as, within minutes he’d won a penalty which Jake McGarry converted and then he finished the game off with a volley of his own. Inbetween there was the small matter of a hat-trick from Stu Ainsworth.

Bruce go top of the First Division after a 14-0 victory over under-strength Sporting Weston. There was never any doubting the outcome of this game as Sporting took the field with only eight players but in Mark Gidman they have an outstanding goal keeper and he made a string of fine saves to keep the score down. Scott Meszaros hit five, Alex Tomlinson three, and Tim Hammond and Callum Loftus two each with Paul O’Rourke and Steven Marshall also finding the net.

There was a big win too for Tytherington Juniors as they scored six times at Poynton Village. The home side only trailed 1-0 at half time but having used all their substitutes they fell apart when they also lost their goalkeeper to injury.

Carl Barlow helped himself to a hat-trick and there were further goals from Alex Hibbert, Sam Fraser and Sam Dale.

In a game of two halves at Clarke Lane, Poynton Legion hung on to take all three points after seeing their three-goal lead nearly wiped out in the second half as Albion stormed back.

Albion had the better of the opening exchanges but fell behind when Si Williams netted.

Albion had the chance to equalise from the spot but Ash Mernock pulled off a fine save.

Two minutes later Matt Roylance’s volley made it 2-0 and added a third soon after.

The second half was totally different as Legion were under the cosh and although Liam Wilkinson and Josh Leva scored Albion couldn’t find the third goal their performance deserved.

Inter Macc and Chilli Banana played out an entertaining 3-3 draw but Inter will be kicking themselves they let slip a two-goal advantage, Dan Smith and Matty McBride both on target. Graham Boultbee made it 2-1 before a long free kick from Jimmy Baskerville found Jonny Leigh who nodded in.

James Slater put Inter back ahead and they had a golden chance to close it out but Simon Gibbon put his penalty wide.

Inter were made to pay when Josh Williamson made it 3-3 to earn Chilli a point.
