FOOTBALL: Styal’s first team suffered a 4-0 home defeat to Middlewich Town on Saturday.
Although they had three goals disallowed, Styal were outplayed by a strong Middlewich side.
The reserves also lost, 3-1 at Golborne Sports. Despite impressive debuts for two Styal players and a man-of-the-match performance by goalkeeper John Harrison the league leaders clocked up their second win over Styal in three weeks.
Styal’s A team were on the wrong end of a 6-0 defeat when hosting Atlantic.
Styal turned around 1-0 down but ill-discipline cost them in the second half as they conceded another five.
