Pack Horse retained the Macclesfield and District SFL Premier Division title without having to play as they celebrated reaching the Sunday Cup Final with yet another league title.

Ox-fford were the only team in with a slim hope of catching them but a 1-0 defeat at home to Vale put paid to their hopes.

AC Bollan are hoping to finish the season as runners-up after defeating Prestbury 4-2. James Wheeler and a brace from Andy Davies had put Bollan 3-0 up at half-time and Jonny Mercer made it 4-0 early in the second half. Prestbury made the scoreline respectable with goals from Mark Hough and Jordan Pearson.

In the First Division Spinners Arms proved that a week is a long time in football, particularly when you play four games in eight days. Three wins left them top of the table and, barring a mathematical miracle, will guarantee them the First Division crown in their first season back.

Into second go Hollins, thanks to two late John Browning goals which undid rivals for second place, Queens. The 2-0 victory for Hollins ends a fine season for Derek Lownd’s side who put for a late blip could have been challenging for the title.

Railway View will be waiting anxiously for the results of Queens’ last two games as one victory for the Bollington side might yet still deny them promotion to the Premier Division. They lost the chance to go level on points with Spinners after an exciting 3-3 draw with Chester Road Tavern. Goals from Mike Harrison, Andy Mitchell and Danny Hayes weren’t enough to secure the points as Chester Road’s Tom Wood, Steven Marshall and Tegg Westbrooke were all on target.

Chilli Banana were undone by three first-half goals as they went down 4-1 to Blueberry. Ben Atkins, Frank Maddox and Jermaine Leveridge were on target before Chilli’s top-scorer Mike Meszaros pulled one back. Atkins put the result beyond doubt with 10 minutes remaining.

At Poynton, Macc Boys Juniors edged out the home side by the odd goal in seven. James Wootten hit a hat-trick for the visitors and Duncan Hodges the other in a 4-3 win. Greg Willis, Bobby Cash and Leon Eadsforth netted for Poynton.

Sporting Kerridge have one more game to break their duck this season as they lost to Poynton Legion 3-0. Steve Little, Dan Booth and Simon Williams did the damage for the home side.

A fabulous game at Congleton Road saw Tythy Juniors come from 2-0 down to edge out Nags Head 4-3. For the neutral Nags have been fantastic value this season as their games always guarantee plenty of goals at both ends but it has been a nightmare for player-manager Lee Anderson who has seen his side leak costly goals.

John Plant’s Tythy side have really turned their season round after some shrewd transfers helped bolster his squad. Nick Hadfield capped off a great season with a hat-trick, Lewis Peterson adding a fourth. For Nags Head Anthony Byrne hit two with Matt Booth adding number three.
