Wilmslow Wayfarers secured a dominant win last weekend against Stretton. After being put in to bat, Wayfarers amassed a huge 232-5 off 34.5 overs.

Joey Unsworth scored a belligerent 86 off 55 balls with Joe Critch (36) and Neil Shirley (49) offering fine support.

Martin Wright (30) contributed some late innings hitting before the declaration was brought up.

Stretton struggled against the pace of Martyn Baldwin (5-34) and swing of Ant Mape (4-50).

It took just 21.2 overs for Wayfarers to bowl the away side out for 92 with Khatteer Zeb taking the final wicket.

Meanwhile, Wayfarers seconds beat Appleton. Batting first, Wayfarers scored 152 all out thanks largely to Usman Waheed’s big-hitting 92. Daryl Stocker took four wickets and Waheed completed his fine all-round game taking 3-1 as Wayfarers won by 42 runs.

Wayfarers seconds also won their cup game versus Knutsford. Wayfarers scored a huge 248-9 off their 40 overs.

Khatteer Zeb scored a fine 93 and Usman Waheed contributed a quickfire 30.

Wickets fell at regular intervals as Zeb claimed 3 dismissals and Jorge Williams took 4-21. Matt Ladd took the final wicket which saw Wayfarers win by 111 runs.

Wayfarers third team secured a draw at Offerton. The hosts scored 228-8 declared despite Matthew Bonner’s 3-37.

Wayfarers held on at 135-7 as Richard Branagan (35) and Matthew Irwin (33) denied the hosts victory.
