Alderley Edge all-rounder Tom Foreman is starring for the county Under-15s side with both bat and ball.

A pupil at the King’s School in Macclesfield, Tom, from Mottram Road, Alderley Edge, is an emerging all rounder who opens the bowling with nippy swing for the county and is an elegant number six batsman.

Tom (pictured) has already registered 50s at county level and has plucked out the opposition’s top-order batsmen.

He names near neighbour Freddie Flintoff and fellow Lancashire paceman James Anderson as his role models.

Tom, who also plays for Alderley’s Under-15 side, said: "I definitely want to be a professional sportsman, whether in cricket or rugby"

King’s coach Steve Moores said: "Tom is developing nicely as an all-rounder and has shown he is prepared to work at his game.

"We have some quality young talent at Under-15 level and the first XI should be able to boast an exceptionally strong line-up in a couple of years."
