Bollington 198-7, Bramhall 168-8 (Match drawn) - BOLLINGTON turned in another disciplined performance but couldn’t extend their winning streak to four games.
Bolly had to settle for a winning draw against fellow strugglers Bramhall and a 12-9 share of the points.
Bollington chose to bat first and posted a respectable and challenging 198-7 from their allocation, Matt Dawson top-scoring with 43 not out.
Ample support came from Abdul Aqeel (33) and Martyn Knight (29).
In reply, Bramhall showed glimpses of determination in chasing the target, and the Bolly attack took wickets at crucial moments to further stymie their progress.
Once Nick Cantello had fallen for 57 and Bramhall were eight wickets down, the more defensive option was taken and the visitors settled for a draw, batting the innings out to 157-8. Aqeel was the pick of the Bollington attack, picking up three for 27 from 17 overs.
Bollington now face a crucial clash against Cheadle where the winners will move themselves clear at the bottom of the table.
