Macclesfield's 'Invincibles'

MACCLESFIELD Cricket Club’s Under-Nine team completed a memorable eight-a-side season in which they didn’t lose a match.
The youngsters, led by captain Ollie Quinn, enjoyed a nine-match season in which the only blemishes were one tied game and one match that fell foul of the weather.
Their exploits saw them tie at the top of the Cheshire Under-Nine League.
Junior coach Nick Hawkyard said: "The lads did really well. Some have been with us for a few years and they’ll be going into the Under-11 league next season but around half will still be with us next year so we’re hoping for more success with them."
The club’s winter nets training will take place from January to April and players of all levels and experience are welcome to join in.
