IT WAS standing room only at the annual Macclesfield Cricket Club Academy presentation evening.
The Victoria Road club claimed a bumper stash of awards this season at senior level, but the event rewarded the summer successes of the juniors.
Pride of place went to the Under-15 squad who were crowned champions of Cheshire this season.
Close on their heels were the Under-13 team who were victorious in the High Peak Plate competition.
First team skipper Barney Cutbill presented the awards, with the biggest smiles of the night belonging to the faces of the Under-9s.
Player of year trophies went to Peter Barron (Under-15), Matt Fry (Under-13) and Jake Dickinson (Under-11).
Chairman Simon Griffiths paid tribute to the hard work of all the coaches and parents, without whom the club could not progress.
The evening concluded with a presentation to the WOCs (wives of coaches) of their club cap, embroidered with the legend ‘Cricket Widows Association.’
