Macclesfield Cricket Club are on the look out for new players of all ages and abilities to play cricket during the forthcoming season.

The club’s historic ground in Victoria Road hosts all home senior and academy matches during the season.

The first XI play in the Cheshire County Cricket League Premier Division, finishing fourth last season, whicle the second and third teams are also in the county’s league pyramid.

Macclesfield also has a social team that plays occasional Sunday cricket.

The well established academy continues to develop all ages of juniors from Under-nine through to Under-18 and has developed the majority of senior players currently playing at Macclesfield.

Academy training takes place on Saturday afternoons at Tytherington High School from 1pm, while senior training is also at Tytherington, on Sundays from noon.

The 2013 season starts on April 20 and Macc’s first team will be captained by Ben Morrison (below).
