IN PERFECT batting conditions and amid an avalanche of runs, Lindow beat Old Parkonians by 21 runs on Saturday.

Lindow won the toss and elected to bat.

Openers Farmer (21) and Smith (19) raced along at more than four an over, until Fletcher got one through Smith with the score at 31.

Two more quickly followed to peg the home side back to 53 for 3.

Paul Slinn batted positively without being reckless, and in the end he finished on 82 not out and Bracewell was unbeaten on 71.

Lindow declared on 226 for 4.

In reply, Parkonians’ openers did not last long but Walker and Fletcher attacked from the off.

By the close wily Squires had posted excellent figures of 4-29, while youngster Taylor finished with 3-52 from his 10 overs as Parkonians fell just short at 205 all out.
