With only their second win of the season Bollington gave themselves a glimmer of hope in their battle against relegation from the Cheshire County League Division Two.

Batting first against high- flying Warrington Bolly mustered only 116 all out with Travis Salisbury top-scoring with 33 and David Paterson 28.

Warrington’s prolific Aussie Kyle Adams proved too hot for Bolly to handle with what seemed a match-winning return of 7-57.

With such a low total it looked like Bolly were heading for yet another defeat but fast bowler Syed Khan had other ideas as he single handedly destroyed the Warrington batting line-up.

Khan took all 10 wickets on his way to an unbelievable 10-40.

Khan’s bowling created a new Cheshire County League record, beating the previous best of 10-41 by a single run.

Bolly face a trip to Weaverham this week knowing that another win could push them towards the great escape.
