Bollington claimed their maiden league victory of the season with a 78-run crushing of Davenham on Saturday.

Batting first, Bolly were solid throughout their innings to compile exactly 200 for the loss of nine wickets.

Rick Hough top-scored with a gritty 43 and well well supported by Matt Dawson’s 35, Tom Horsfield’s 26 and an unbeaten 19 from Aldo Palazzo.

In reply Bolly skittled their hosts for 122, with Syed Khan bowling superbly to claim six wickets.

There was also a wicket each for Dawson, Palazzo, Hough and Stuart Plant.

Bolly took the maximum 25 points from the game and will be hoping the crucial win is the catalyst for a strong second half of the season.

Bolly head to Stockport on Saturday.
