IN-FORM Bollington produced a stunning performance to beat Burnage by a massive 174 runs.

Dominant from the first ball, Bolly claimed their fifth victory of the season at mid-table Burnage.

The outfield at Burnage was saturated by the heavy rain during the week leading up to the game and as a result the start time was delayed and the overs reduced to 45 per innings.

Bolly lost the toss and were asked to bat on a difficult looking wicket. Calum Rowe continued his rich vein of form this season with a superb 96 and was unlucky to be dismissed late in the innings.

Mo Ali smashed the Burnage attack to all parts with an explosive 71 from just 55 balls.

There were good contributions from Abdul Aqeel (28), Tom Gower (16) and Matt Dawson (16) as Bolly posted a massive 254-8 from 45 overs which, on a deteriorating wicket, looked a daunting target for the home side.

The Burnage reply started disastrously as Mo Ali and Abdul Aqeel tore through the top order to reduce the home side to 11-6 and an early finish looked on the cards.

However Mahmood, Rana and Khan all dug in to give the score some respectability as the home side were dismissed for 80 in 31 overs.

The wickets were shared around the Bolly attack with Aqeel the star man with 4-15. Ali took 2-9, while Aldo Pallazzo (2-12), Matt Dawson (1-17) and Tom Cullen (1-22) all contributed.

Another utterly dominant performance from Bolly keeps them in the Division Two title race.

They will be further strengthened next week with the return of club captain and opening batsmen Rick Hough for the game at home to Tattenhall.

They also face Premier Division Hyde this Thursday at the Recreation Ground in an intriguing clash in the Cheshire County League Twenty20 competition.
