Macclesfield Express, Wednesday 30 November 2005
I KNEW nothing about James Meredith until my recent visit to Oxford, Mississippi where on a tumultuous day in October, 1962, Mr Meredith became the first black student to enrol at Ole Miss University.

2. Bullies rule okay?

Macclesfield Express, Wednesday 30 November 2005
HAVE you been into a school classroom lately? Try it, you may get a surprise especially if it's a comprehensive. The language is appalling and shouting back at frustrated teachers commonplace. 7. Make your own mind up over our Cheshire Police

Macclesfield Express, Wednesday 16 November 2005
I HOPE you will forgive me this week if I give up my column to letters I have received regarding Cheshire Police. The material contained is too sensitive for me to comment and I will leave you to make your own interpretation.

8. Heartless bogus caller criminals should be shown the front door

Macclesfield Express, Wednesday 9 November 2005
AMONG the most detestable people on God's earth are bogus callers who prey on the elderly by playing on their fears.

9. Time for councils to stop buck passing

Macclesfield Express, Wednesday 9 November 2005
I DO RECEIVE some very interesting information from Express readers, none more so than the copy letter I opened today from John Prescott's office on the subject of travellers.

10. Anyone for after-dinner diving?

Macclesfield Express, Wednesday 9 November 2005
WE ARE getting close to that time of year when clubs and organisations book after dinner speakers.
