1. The ban on hunting could leave all of us with plenty of things to grouse about

Macclesfield Express, Wednesday 15 December 2004
I'VE NEVER been on a fox hunt, never really wanted to, so in theory the hunting ban won't affect me and although I train gundogs I don't actually shoot so it's all the same to me whether my dogs retrieve ducks or canvas dummies. So why should I care? Well, I might not if those eager to ban all country sports were as committed to the upkeep of the countryside as the participants.

Macclesfield Express, Wednesday 3 November 2004

3. Tribulations of dog trials but there was much worse to come

Macclesfield Express, Wednesday 18 August 2004

4. It’s time to support our local traders

Macclesfield Express, Thursday 13 May 2004
According to recent figures one out of every eight pounds spent in the UK goes through a Tesco till.

5. Laugh your socks off and make cash for a great charity

Macclesfield Express, Thursday 19 February 2004
What are you doing on February 24? It's Pancake Day, in case you'd forgotten, and we are planning another wonderful two hours of madness right outside Macclesfield Town Hall. (As opposed to inside).
