A woman caught drink driving twice in three months has been banned from the road for three years.

Carol Lesley Holcroft, 53, was in a Mercedes C220 when she was stopped by police on Albert Road, Bollington, on April 15.

She was breathalysed and blew 77mg, a level that is more than twice the legal drink drive limit of 35mg.

Holcroft, of Castle Hill, Prestbury, appeared at Crewe magistrates’ court on June 24, where she denied drink driving.

A trial was set for August and she was bailed.

But less than three weeks later, on July 12, Holcroft was pulled over by police again on the Prestbury link road in Wilmslow.

This time when she was breathalysed she blew 94mg, almost three times the legal limit.

Holcroft was once again hauled in front of magistrates on August 9, where she admitted both drink driving charges.

Magistrates sentenced her to a community order to last 12 months, where she must complete 200 hours of unpaid work.

She was banned from driving for three years.

Holcroft must also pay £320 towards the prosecution courts costs.
