Residents are being warned after a spate of burglaries from garden sheds.
Seven properties across Macclesfield have been targeted in the last month, with thieves getting away with numerous bikes and lawn mowers.
The latest three incidents took place over night from Wednesday, March 2, to Thursday, March 3.
Bikes were stolen from a property on Jackson lane, Bollington, and Oak Lane, Kerridge.
It is believed offenders may have been disturbed when a shed was targeted at Hulley Road, Hurdsfield Road.
Steven Leigh, PCSO, said: “Of note the properties which these burglaries have occurred all have rear gardens which neighbour farmlands or fields where you can walk unrestricted.
“With this knowledge we are urging all residents to take precautions to protect themselves and to act as a deterrent from these opportunistic thieves.
“Ensure that all windows and doors to garages, sheds and outbuildings and secured.”

Homeowners are also advised to fit secure padlocks on their sheds, use a black pen to mark property with postcodes to deter thieves from taking items, and make sure all bikes are locked together within the shed.
Other incidents in the past month include: a bike theft from Hilton Road, Poynton, over night on February 2nd; a lawnmower taken from Butley Lanes, Prestbury, overnight on February 8th; a lawn mower stolen from Meadow Drive, Prestbury, between February 10th and 12th; and a high valued item taken from a shed on Prestbury Lane, Prestbury, between February 5th and 13th.
Residents are urged to be vigilant, if you see any suspicious activity, or can provide any information relating to any of the named incidents, ring police on 101.
