Search teams have recovered a third body from the site of the Bosley mill blaze.

Emergency crews made their find today at the fire-gutted Wood Flour Mills.

The first body, believed to be 51-year-old William Barks, was discovered on Sunday and the second body, which has yet to be identified, was found on Tuesday.

Rescuers have been trawling the site for four employees who were reported missing when several explosions destroyed the four-storey building last Friday.

Yesterday emergency services crews removed three unstable silos at the site to allow the search to continue.

Cheshire Police said the third body was found in at a section of the site identified by sniffer search dogs.

The families of those feared dead - William Barks, 51, Dorothy Bailey, 62, Jason Shingler, 38, and Derek Moore, 62 - are to visit the site later today to help in the search and pay their respects.

A joint investigation is under way between police, fire and the Health & Safety Executive to establish the cause of the incident.

ACC Guy Hindle said: “We continue to work with our colleagues in very difficult conditions with ongoing risks – it is an extremely complex scene to examine and we’ve not yet got full access to all of it.

“Each agency has a wide range of expertise and are working hard together to find the missing people.

“In the meantime we are interviewing witnesses and gathering other evidence, all of which will form the investigation.”
