Thieves has stolen a cash machine from the a convenience store on the Weston.

The daring offenders forced entry into the Co-op store on Ivy Road at around 3am this morning (April 29),

They hauled out the cash machine from within the store before fleeing in a Black Range Rover Discovery up Dawson Road.

The vehicle is believed to have been damaged during the incident.

Police confirmed they were called to the Co-op around 3am following reports of a break in.

One witness, who didn’t want to be named, said: “When I went past the metal shutters were all bent up with several police vehicles outside.

“I could see officers with gloves and masks looking for evidence.”

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious around the time of the incident to call them on 101 quoting incident 54 of 29 April 2015.
