A stranded sheep was rescued by a specialist team of firefighters.

The sheep had become stranded in the River Bollin, on Beechwood Mews, Macclesfield.

One fire engine from Macclesfield and the technical animal rescue team from Knutsford were called to attend at 9.44am on Saturday (Auguat 13).

The crew used specialist equipment to rescue the sheep from the water and then returned it to graze in a nearby field.
