Further chance to hear doctors

ANOTHER chance to hear doctors from Macclesfield Hospital give their views on the Making It Better review takes place this week.
Consultant paediatricians and obstetricians will be speaking at a public meeting at Buxton Methodist Hall on Friday, May 5, from 7.30pm.
Under the Making It Better review children's inpatient, maternity and neonatal services are under threat at Macclesfield Hospital and the public consultation period ends on Friday, May 12.
Organiser Carolyn Ainsworth said: "This is a chance to hear our doctors again if you missed them at the King's School."
For the purposes of the meeting, Carolyn also obtained figures from East Cheshire NHS Trust which she says show from April 2005 until March 2006, 3,376 children were treated as inpatients and 149 women from the High Peak and Dales come over to Macclesfield to give birth. The meeting, at the hall on the market place, is open to all and will be chaired by Tom Levitt, MP for High Peak and Dales.
