Pop heart-throbs Blue to play al fresco at Capesthorne Hall

FANS of the boys from Blue will be tickled pink to hear the band is coming to Macclesfield.

And the pop legends can "breathe easy" - the title of their newly-released single - for the location of their al fresco gig is none other than the stunning estate of the 18th century Jacobean Capesthorne Hall where the air is fresh and clear.

The band - featuring Duncan, Lee, Simon and Antony - will be appearing on Saturday, June 5, for the first time ever in Cheshire before a capacity crowd of 9,000.

And in true Macclesfield style the concert, with a full menu of ballads and high energy pop tracks, will close in carnival mood with a fantastic laser display.

Organisers marketing agency BDW Promotes from West Midlands are delighted with the coup. MD Mike Croston said: "It is an extremely exciting project that will see top musicians performing against a backdrop of Capesthorne's spectacular grounds."

Cheshire's Lord Lieutenant and hall owner William Bromley Davenport will be watching the show on the night with wife Elizabeth from the 'wings', and they are thrilled to be hosting the event.
