EXTRA bin staff are being drafted in to clear the backlog over full bins following Christmas and the bad weather.
The promise has come from Cheshire East Council amid complaints that some bins have not been emptied for more than a month.
Mum-of-two Louise Welson has criticised the lack of collections on her estate, where she says bins have not been emptied since the beginning of December.
Louise, 37, of Pavilion Way, off Victoria Road, part of the Jones Homes estate in Macclesfield, said wagons had emptied bins at neighbouring apartments last week but because they were on a ‘different contract’ had refused to take theirs too.
The mother-of-two, a sales manager, said: "We accept they couldn’t come last Tuesday because of the snow but what happened after that makes no sense at all – they could have easily taken our rubbish too.
"We have had rubbish in our garage storing up.
"Lorries have been managing to get up to Jones Home because they are doing building work here and other lorries have been coming up too."
Her bins, which had not been collected since December 5, were still not emptied by yesterday (Tuesday, January 12).
A Cheshire East Council spokesman said: "As a result of the delays, the decision has been taken to revert back to the regular waste collection and recycling timetable from Monday January 11.
"Extra operatives and resources will also be allocated in to help collections to be made as scheduled.
"We would like to thank residents for their continued patience and apologise for any inconvenience."
