A PAIR of Macclesfield women who met at an antenatal class have just celebrated their first year in business together – and scooped an award in the process.

Clare Kewney, 33, and Clare Riley, 30, opened the North West’s first branch of Tinies – the UK’s leading childcare agency – 12 months ago, and have successfully tripled their turnover in that time.

Tinies has 27 branches across the UK and Tinies Northwest achieved the company’s largest growth in 2008.

The two Clares put their success down to their ability to understand and empathise with parents looking for childcare, their honesty and focus on customer service and their commitment to only take on the highest quality candidates.

Clare Kewney said: "We understand the worries parents have when they’re searching for the right person to look after their children, whether this is for a permanent arrangement or a night’s babysitting.

"A lot of parents register with us who have never sought childcare before and we make sure we understand exactly what they’re looking for, we identify the best candidates for each family and help them prepare for the interviews. We even provide the contracts, basically we do everything except make the final decision."

Covering the whole of the North West, Tinies aims to ease the burden of parents in the area by searching, checking, interviewing and booking the best childcare available. Whether it is a nanny, babysitting, emergency childcare or a temporary nanny.

The business finds nannies, babysitters and maternity nurses for parents, as well as permanent and temporoary staff for nurseries.

They also provide crèches for all manner of events, from weddings to permanent facilities for a club, gym or hotel, or a mobile crèche for a birthday party, launch party or conference.

All potential childcare staff have excellent qualifications and enhanced CRB checks, as well as being personally interviewed by the two Clares before they are even able to register with the North West branch.
