GROWING up in Macclesfield has made me aware of the issues that are most important to the residents of my home town.
Having held a directorship with the Manchester Junior Chamber of Commerce, I now feel that I have enough experience to help guide Macclesfield to a stronger and brighter future.
There are 4 pressing matters that I would like to concentrate on right away:
1. Roads - There is great concern about the state of our roads. Uneven pavements, potholes and general decay are some of the key issues. I intend to work hard to improve the state of the infrastructure.
2. Jobs - The re-development of Macclesfield Town Centre promises to create more retail jobs, however I believe there is a distinct lack of office positions. Together, we can work hard to bring more retail and office positions into Macclesfield.
3. Recycling - I want to make it easier for all residents in the area to play a small part in combating a big problem. I will push for additional recycling collections, facilities and provide simple suggestions on how individuals can get involved.
4. Let the residents have more of a say - I will hold a monthly forum which will be open to all residents. This is a chance for you to voice your opinions and give feedback on the most current issues facing the council. I will listen to everybody, and take every suggestion seriously.
Vote Lee Williamson for Macclesfield Town.
IT’S YOUR OPINION THAT COUNTS!
