KAREN has been involved in Labour Party politics for many years.
When she worked for Manchester University her job involved working with local authority social services departments in order to improve the services they provided, particularly those given to older people living in their own homes.
Karen was elected to serve on the Bollington Town Council in 2004, and she has been Hon. Secretary of the Council’s Strategic Planning Committee and the Personnel Committee for the last four years.
