MARK was elected to Bollington Town Council in 1995 and re-elected in 1999 and 2004. While serving on the Council he took the initiative to set up new committees dealing with Bollington Youth, Trade & Tourism, and Council Personnel. He served as Bollington Town Mayor 2000-01.
Mark worked as a teacher in Bristol and then at the London HQ of a Teachers’ Trade Union. He became the chairman of a large Community Centre in north London, and he established a support group for the local public library. He also served as a governor of two schools
Mark represents the Town Council on the Ingersley Vale & Kerridge Ridge Project. He is the Business Manager and the Chairman of the Bollington Live! magazine.
