AGED 52, married with two children (24 & 23). Standing for a third term in Bollington and was town mayor in 2004/5 and will be deputy mayor from May this year if re-elected.

Qualified accounts technician but changed to activity coordinator in an EMI home two years ago. Was a Brownie guider for about fifteen years.

Has been chairman of Macclesfield Borough council's performance monitoring committee for the past two years.

Is a board member of Cheshire Peaks and Plains housing trust and has just completed an ILM Governance Award to improve board membership skills.

Likes to get involved in local issues and is currently trying to find land for Bollington to expand its allotment stock.

In the past was very involved in fighting the planning application for industrial units on Albert Road, Bollington.

Is passionate about preserving the urban heritage of this area, and very keen on green issues.
