Pet Idol is back and even bigger!

27/ 3/2008

THE MACCLESFIELD Express’ hugely popular Pet Idol competition is back in business.

After the stunning success of our 2007 contest, we have now teamed up with a new big-name sponsor to ensure the 2008 search for a star is the biggest and best yet.

Pets at Home has offered a brand new set of prizes, worth an amazing £500 for the overall winner.

This time, Pet Idol will be run simultaneously with many other newspapers in the Manchester Evening News media group, with the winners from each area taking home £150 worth of vouchers to spend in any Pets At Home store. There will also be vouchers worth £50 for runners-up.

The overall area winner will then be entered into a grand final for the chance to walk away with £500 worth of vouchers.

As always, you are free to put forward any pet you own; be it a dog, cat, rabbit, horse or even a llama.

Simply supply us with details of your pet, outlined in the entry form below, and then we’ll invite our readers to vote for the animal they judge to be the cutest cuddly friend.

The competition starts next week and will run until the edition of Wednesday, April 30, with the Macclesfield area winner being revealed the following week, before going forward to the grand final.

We’ll accept entries by post or by email.

If emailing your entry, please supply a jpg picture of your pet, including all the details as on the entry form (pet's name, your name and address and why you think your pet is a star), and send it to petidol@menwn.co.uk

So it’s cameras at the ready and send us your favourite pet picture and have the chance to see your furry friend crowned Pet Idol 2008!
