A crash between a car and caravan caused rush hour is causing congestion this morning.
Police, fire and paramedics were called to reports that a Honda Jazz had collided with a stationary caravan being towed by a Peugeot 205 on the Silk Road at 5.45am today (November 17).
Police closed the road to deal with the accident which was on the northbound carriageway between Tesco at Hibel Road and McDonalds at Hulley Road.
The female driver of the Honda Jazz was treated by paramedics for minor injuries.
The road was reopened at 6.45am but there is still congestion in the area.
