Police are warning residents to secure their homes and vehicles after a spate of burglaries and break-ins.

Between 10pm on Thursday, July 28 and 6.30am on Friday, July 29 tools were taken from a vehicle around Earlsway.

Thieves then broke into a van on Robin Crescent, Sutton, overnight on July 28 and stole gardening equipment.

Meanwhile there was a burglary in the area of Lumley Road, Macclesfield, between 8.30am and 4.30pm on Sunday, July 31.

Police are urging residents to check their doors, locks and windows, fit a burglar alarm, keep your house and car keys safe and away from doors and windows, and secure you garden shed and garage.
