Police have teamed up with Father Christmas in a bid to catch some of the county’s most prolific offenders.

Cheshire Police has launched its ‘All We Want For Christmas’ campaign where it publishes videos on social media, appealing for the whereabouts of offenders and suspects.

The videos show the man in red unveiling his ‘Naughty List’ with the faces and names of those evading police.

It is hoped that people will recognise these people and provide vital information to officers.

Three Macclesfield men featuring in the videos include Kelvin Alan Barsted, 28, wanted in connection with criminal damage and breach of a court order; Ian Paul Schofield, 36, wanted in connection with assault; and Craig William Trodden, 37, wanted for breach of court order and in connection with drug offences.

Superintendent Jon Betts said: “We’re having a little bit of fun but there is a serious message behind this campaign. Individuals who try to evade the courts are denying victims their chance to see justice done and this can often leave many unable to move on with their lives.”
