Firefighters came to the rescue when a horse got trapped.
Crews from Macclesfield and Bollington as well as the animal rescue unit were called to Bollington on Sunday at 1.15pm.
They found a horse trapped in a trailer on Clarke Lane.
A vet was called to sedate the nervous animal before crews removed the rear of the box trailer.
The horse was then released unharmed after an ordeal lasting almost three hours.
