Keen photographers were out in force at the weekend when the first snow of the season fell over the borough.

Snappers also captured some amazing colours with the weather conditions perfect to create some beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

Macclesfield Express photographer Matt Ratcliffe took some stunning pictures of the snow at Macclesfield Forest, as well as Meg Robinson and Chris Heapy who also captured some early snowy scenes.

Carol Capper also trudged through some thick snow at Macclesfield Forest to get some fantastic pictures of the snow at Shutlingsloe.

Max Homer whipped his camera out to capture the vivid reds, pinks and oranges of a sunset from his daughter’s house.

He said: “Macc seems to catch the right weather conditions for sunrise & sunsets.

“My daughter lives at the top end of Bank Street and the sun setting over the town viewed from there is often spectacular.”

Mark Beresford and Russ Machin were both up early enough to take some fantastic photos of the sunrise and frost this morning (Monday, November 23).
