The event will involve displaying art in pop up exhibitions around Wilmslow town centre on the weekend of September 20-21.

It will include 30 artists from the town showing off their talents in 17 different shops, restaurants, pubs, cafes and churches.

The event is supported by the Evans Arts Trust and Castletons Accountants and will see everyone from painters, sculptors and textile artists to furniture makers and ceramicists, exhibiting their work.

These include Garry Olson, Suzanne Hodgson, Liz Brickhill and Amanda Wigglesworth at Garry’s studio on Stoney Lane; Eliza Brown at Rise Coffee; Christopher Rainham and Diane Metcalfe at St Anne’s Fulshaw; Tony Evans, Heather Farr and Jackie Jamieson at St Bartholomew’s Church; and Judith Roberts and Chris Robertshaw at Wilmslow Methodist Church.

Lindsay Hill will appear at the Slug and Lettuce; Molly Wallis at The Old Dancer; June Gordon and Marilyn Rhind at Revolution; Iola Spafford and Rosemary Stubbs at Coach and Four; Pietra Castellani, Nathan Millar and Bobby Tonge at Intoto; Clive Weake at Hawthorn’s Deli; Susan Gunn at Multiyork.

Lou Gardiner will have a display at Hoopers; Wilmslow High School A-level students at United Reformed Church; Jacky Freeman at Waitrose; Jane Foddy at Jane Foddy’s garden; and Jan Lewis-Eccleston, Jane Mitchell and Liz Taylor Webb at Tru Kitchen.

Organiser and featured artist Eliza Brown said: “We now have all artists and venues confirmed and it is looking to be a brilliant community event.

“On top of that we are trying to get some art classes for younger visitors on the trail to inspire the next generation of artists in the town. We are also looking at entertainment and music so there’s something for everyone.

“It’s a very exciting project and we really hope as many people as possible come down and see it.

“The artists involved are varied, as are the venues, from independents to chains. It’s set to be something very special.”
