An exhibition to celebrate the life of late wildlife broadcaster Romany is open at Wilmslow Library.

George Bramwell Evens, known as Romany, presented the Out with Romany radio programme on BBC Children's Hour in the 30s and 40s.

The famous naturalist, who lived in Wilmslow for many years, wrote many natural history books.

The Romany Society, set up to promote his work, has opened an exhibition at Wilmslow Library, to run for the rest of this week.

Coun Keith Purdom, from Wilmslow Town Council, unveiled the display, with chairman of the Romany Society Derick Wood.
