CHEEKY crooks stole personal laptop photos of Cheeky Girl Gabriela Irimia and her boyfriend Nick Zapolski during a burglary at their Alderley Edge home while they were sleeping, and then drove off in the couple’s £30,000 car.

Thieves also took a camera containing holiday snaps of the couple and an Ipod and Ipod docking station from the house on Brook Lane.

The culprits struck in the early hours of Saturday, April 11.

No one was harmed in the break-in.

Nick, 26, says he is very upset about the thefts and that Gabriela, 25, who has been away filming for her homeland Romania’s version of Strictly Come Dancing, no longer feels safe in their home.

Woke

He said: "When we woke up the next morning I came down and said, ‘Where’s the laptop?’ Then we realised."

"Then we noticed the camera had gone and when we looked outside we saw that the car had disappeared off the driveway too.

"We were a little shaken by the burglary and keep thinking about what would have happened if we had woken up to confront the burglars.

"I just wonder whether they would have come upstairs and into our room if they hadn’t found what they were looking for downstairs.

"Gabriela used to sleep on the side of the bed nearest the door but has now swapped sides since the incident because she’s scared of someone coming in the room."

The burglars got through the backdoor of the house, officers said.

They stole more than £2,000 worth of items before taking the car keys off the kitchen table and escaping in Nick’s black Audi A6 which was parked on the driveway.

A police spokesman said: "The crime occurred on April 11 in the early hours when the occupier was present.

"Personal property, a laptop and a black Audi A6 were taken. It’s being investigated.

"We just want to take this opportunity to remind people to lock all their doors before going to bed."
