Police have released aerial footage of a controlled operation to bring down silo towers as part of the recovery operation at a mill in Bosley.

The towers had been identified as being a risk to the search and rescue operation following an explosion on Friday.

Search teams have been scouring the debris for several days and three bodies have so far been found.

Yesterday emergency services crews removed three unstable silos at the site to allow the search to continue.

They have recovered a third body from the site of the Bosley mill blaze.

Emergency crews made their find today at the fire-gutted Wood Flour Mills.

The first body, believed to be 51-year-old William Barks, was discovered on Sunday.

A second body was found on Tuesday. A post mortem examination has been carried out and although a formal identification has not been made indications are that it is that of mum-of-three Dorothy Bailey, who lived in a mill workers cottage next to the site.

Rescuers have been trawling the site for four employees who were reported missing when several explosions destroyed the four-storey building last Friday.

Cheshire Police said the third body was found in at a section of the site identified by sniffer search dogs.

The families of those feared dead - William Barks, 51, Dorothy Bailey, 62, Jason Shingler, 38, and Derek Moore, 62 - have been visiting the site to help in the search and pay their respects.

A joint investigation is under way between police, fire and the Health and Safety Executive to establish the cause of the incident.
