Three ambulances, two fire engines and police attended when a Vauxhall Corsa crashed at about 10.30pm last night (Sunday, October 11).

It is believed four people were in the car.

Ambulances took patients to Manchester Royal Hospital, Macclesfield Hospital and Salford Royal Hospital.

An ambulance service spokesman said the patient taken to Manchester Royal Hospital had suffered serious injuries.

A spokesman for the North West Ambulance service said they were called to the scene at 11.52pm.

They said: "At 11.52pm we received reports that a car had rolled onto its roof on Buxton Old Road.

"We had three ambulances that went to various different hospitals who were put on standby."

A spokesman for Cheshire Fire and Rescue said: "A road traffic collision with a vehicle on its roof was attended by firefighters.

"Two people were trapped in this collision and needed the assistance of firefighters to get out. Paramedics also attended."
