Heartfelt tributes have been paid to a popular teenager who has died suddenly at his home.

The body of former Fallibroome Academy pupil Liam Upton, 19, was found at Chatsworth Avenue, on The Weston.

Police said his death is not being treated as suspicious.

Dozens of people have posted messages paying tribute to Liam on social networking websites Facebook and Twitter after hearing the devastating news.

His mum, Emma Upton, left her own tribute thanking people for their messages to her ‘beautiful son’ , who died on Tuesday, June 11.

Fallibroome Academy teacher Nic Curran also paid tribute to the youngster.

He said: “Liam was a quiet, well-meaning and amiable member of the Fallibroome community. He will be sadly missed.”

Liam successfully completed a 12-week personal development course with the Prince’s Trust and Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service at Macclesfield Fire Station last July.

Hazel Crampton, who ran the course which teaches teamwork, community skills and first aid, said: “We are incredibly sad to hear the shocking news of Liam’s death. Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this difficult and distressing time.”

Friend Matt Johnson posted his tribute on a Facebook group RIP Liam Upton. He wrote: ‘I only met u on the princes trust but i felt like i had known u for years, bro. u will be missed deeply by all as u were a good friend’.

Friends described Liam as having an interest in computer games and rock music.

Scott Boulton said: ‘Liam, you were a nice lad and too young to go.

‘I remember our childhood. You were like one of my brothers. I can’t believe it. God has gained an angel’.

Amy Jean Clinton also paid tribute: ‘I lost the person that mattered the most to me in the whole world.

‘Liam Upton was the best person in the world for me. He was smart and funny, he made me so happy’.

Nikki Ronan said: ‘What a great person, son, friend and individual you were – always had me laughing since I met you.

‘You were so welcoming and nice when I moved up to the same area as you all on the Weston – we all have some funny and good memories to embrace’.

An inquest was opened and adjourned by the coroner on June 12.
