Macclesfield's latest monthly Treacle Market proved a hit with shoppers thanks to a thriving blend of community stallholders and entertainers.

National Antiques Week was the perfect excuse to encourage shoppers to hunt the market for vintage treasures.

There were charity and community stalls at Market Place and the chance to find out more about Barnaby Festival.

Music was provided by Annies Saints and Sinners, and Tridem.

Organiser Jane Munro said: “It was buzzing and despite the chill the rain stayed away. It was exactly a year since the ‘Typhoon Treacle’ when the gales and rain almost blew the market away so we were all very relieved.

"We Deliver Local were signing people up to their delivery scheme and The Great North Pie Company sold out early, which was hardly surprising as they won at the Great British Pie awards only last week.”
