Welcome again to our Time-trip column.

Each week we will publish a set of pictures taken by our photographers which appeared in the paper in the 2000s.

The pictures appear first on our website and are then reprinted in the paper.

This week we have a picture of Cheshire Police Band and force band master Granville Henshall (left) at St Michaels Church, Macclesfield.

There is also a shot of the opening of Somerfield store in Thornton Square, Macclesfield, with Linda Potts and Jackie Hilditch, who worked at the store when it was Quick Save, cutting the ribbon, and manager Adrian Slaney and staff.

There are also a Macc Colts team picture and two youngsters who won fishing rods at the junior fly fishing course at Marton Heath Trout Pools as part of National Fishing Week - Ben Arnold, 15, and Johnty Marchall, 13, both from Macclesfield, pictures with one of the organisers, Andy Taylor.

The photographs were all taken in the early 2000s.

If you have any pictures you would like us to feature, please send them into communities@menmedia.co.uk or via the Macclesfield Express Facebook page.
